The „ADVANCE Day“ is THE startup conference for founders and startups, investors and companies from the media and digital economy in North Rhine-Westphalia. Apart from a continuous conference track with inspirational talks, the Advance Day also offers startups the chance of participating in open pitches, workshops and individual coaching sessions.
Under the heading of „Forward is now“ the ADVANCE Day’s conference track will be providing about 120 participants with a compact programme of keynotes and talks and numerous prestigious speakers from home and abroad. 2015 will include: the Danish serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist Morten Lund (co-founder of Skype), Heiko Hubertz (founder of WHOW Games & Bigpoint), „Industry Pitch Master“ Ben Hall (founder & CEO of Chalkboard), Christoph Krachten (founder and President of Mediakraft and a board member of Digitale Köpfe e.V. ), Jörg Binnenbrücker (founding partner at Capnamic Ventures), Philipp Bernecke (CEO and founder of Divimove), Carsten Fichtelmann (founder & CEO of Daedalic Entertainment) and the Head of the NRW Digital Economy Office, Prof. Dr. Tobias Kollmann (University of Duisburg-Essen).
The ADVANCE Day is offering startups exclusive workshops and individual coaching sessions where such topics as financing, marketing, legal and other issues are individually explored in detail. Up to 20 young companies and founders will be able to be coached exclusively by experts in one-to-one meetings.
The open pitches will give up to six startups from NRW the chance to present their business idea in front of a competent jury of investors, entrepreneurs and successful founders as well as the assembled audience. Prizes for the startups include taking part in the international Pitch Club Fellowship Programme (fellowship and personal mentoring) as well as special sessions with experts and other non-cash prizes.
And, of course, there is ample opportuinty for networking and making new contacts.
The venue is the Solution Space, the new innovation house close to Cologne Cathedral.
